Alongside Alma Road Surgery & North Baddesley Surgery, our brilliant doctors have been out and about vaccinating our local care home residents and staff, protecting the most vulnerable in our community.
We have also received confirmation of our next delivery so we will be contacting patients aged 80+ from tomorrow who have yet to receive their first dose of the COVID vaccine to book them in to our next clinic.
Despite previous pleas, we are still experiencing a huge number of calls to the surgery about the COVID vaccine. Our amazing receptionists do a fantastic job but they simply do not have the time to have long conversations with patients and/or their loved ones asking when they will be offered their vaccination.
The vaccines are still being manufactured and there is not an established national supply. This means we are getting short notice of deliveries (up to a week in advance), so we have little time to contact patients. As soon as vaccine is delivered, we are contacting patients in the priority order as set out by the government.
Please, please do not call the surgery asking for more information about the vaccine. It blocks our phone lines and please trust that we will contact you when it is your time. We are more than aware how very important the vaccine is to offer protection to you and your families and we are doing our utmost to get as many people vaccinated as quickly as we can. Until we contact you, please follow the guidelines to keep everyone safe.
