COVID Vaccination Update – 2nd February 2021

Alongside North Baddlesey & Alma Road Surgeries, we have been vaccinating again today at Crosfield Hall. Thank you to all our staff and volunteers.

We continue to work through those patients who need a home visit, and we are holding a further three clinics at Crosfield Hall this week. We are now phoning those aged 70+ and the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable.

We are finding that many of our patients have received a letter and have booked vaccine appointments elsewhere. For reasons unknown to us(!), the national booking system has been kept separate to our local booking system and in typical public sector fashion, these do not communicate with each other. This means our team will still be contacting you as we don’t know you have booked elsewhere.

We ask all patients to please keep to one booked appointment and if phoned, to let our staff know at the start of the call that you have received a letter and booked elsewhere. This will mean our staff can end the call and move on quickly to the next person on the list.

Alongside phoning patients to invite them to a vaccination clinic, we are also going to start trialling a text invitation booking system. If we hold a mobile phone number for you, you may receive an invitation to book a vaccination appointment via text. This will include a link to an online system for you to book your appointment. The clinic will still be held at Crosfield Hall in Romsey – we are simply trying out different ways to contact our patients. More details on this will follow via Facebook & our website when this system is set up and ready to trial.
